Our Must-Watch Panels from SDCC@Home

From the 23rd to the 26th of July, San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) will be going digital for the first time since its inception in 1970, which means fans from all over the world will be able to attend one of the world’s biggest comic book conventions from the comfort of their own home. All you have to do is follow SDCC on Youtube to catch each panel live!

However, as the event boasts over 300 panels for fans to check out, you might find yourself having a hard time deciding on what to watch. We’ve put together a guide of our personal highlights that we think you’ll enjoy as well.

Shaman King Announces 20th Anniversary Celebration Plans

Kodansha Comics will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the finale of Shaman King with a panel at SDCC. As this panel comes hot on the heels of the announcement of the new Shaman King anime, we’re hoping to see more details or even exclusive footage from the upcoming project.

Crunchyroll has been a driving force behind bringing officially subtitled anime and manga to the masses, and their recent forays into webtoon adaptations have been nothing but promising. Expect some exciting announcements on Crunchyroll’s upcoming series and original titles.

VIZ: A Haunting Conversation with Junji Ito

If you’ve ever wondered what goes on in the mind of the Internet’s favourite horror mangaka, you’ll want to tune in for this Q&A with the one and only Junji Ito. He’ll also be showing off his latest manga Frankenstein, as well as more details on Production I.G.’s anime adaptation of his smash hit Uzumaki.

However, with DC’s own online event DC Fandome on the horizon, expect fewer exclusive announcements and more talks and insights from these industry legends.

Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing

While the MCU won’t be making an appearance at SDCC this year, you’ll still be able to get your Marvel comics fix in this panel hosted by the company’s editor-in-chief, C.B. Cebulski. We’ll be getting updates on titles such as Empire, X of Swords, Amazing Spider-Man, and Werewolf by Night.
