You would have thought that Toy Story ended on the perfect note when Toy Story 3 dropped nearly 8 years ago. All that is set to change however, when a new teaser for the upcoming Toy Story 4 dropped on November 12th.
The trailer doesn’t seem to show much, aside from a release window, as well as a strange new character named “Forky”, who seems to believe that he is not actually a toy (but if he isn’t, why does he move?)
Details are scant, but here is the description from the video, courtesy of Disney-Pixar’s official YouTube page.
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.
The animated feature is directed by Josh Cooley, who was behind the short “Riley’s First Date?”, featuring the characters from Inside Out, another Pixar feature, and produced by Jonas Rivera (Inside Out, Up) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer of Inside Out).
The movie reaches U.S theatres June 21 next year, so surprisingly we won’t need to wait too long.
